As many as 100 out of 500 street vendors at B1 stall, ex Gang Laler, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, participated in auto debit socialization. It is aimed to avoid illegal levies.

“There will be no manual retribution, all is done through Bank DKI. Retribution is Rp 3,000 per day,” said Bangun Richard, Central Jakarta Head Sub-dept. of Micro Small Middle Cooperative and Trade.

He added that the socialization is held gradually by involving 100 out of 500 street vendors. The system will run after the vendors get the stall number.

“They must open an account in Bank DKI with minimum balance Rp 250 thousand,” he added.
